Mike Rogers is the incumbent U.S. Representative for Alabama's 3rd Congressional District, first elected in 2002. He serves as Chair of the House Armed Services Committee and previously served as Ranking Member of both the Armed Services and Homeland Security Committees. Rogers is a conservative Republican who has consistently voted against major Democratic legislation and supported efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Lee McInnis is the Democratic nominee for Alabama's 3rd Congressional District. A native of Birmingham who grew up in Homewood, he served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1989 as an Arabic linguist in Army Intelligence and later spent 28 years in the Defense Intelligence Community, including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, and Bahrain and service as Acting Director of Intelligence for NATO/USA Special Operations in Afghanistan. A disabled veteran, he holds three degrees from Auburn University and now teaches, running on a platform focused on healthcare access, education, the economy, veterans' care, and fair taxes.
